Our Multidisciplinary Approach

In Australia, it is considered a best practice for managing cancer treatment and complex digestive illnesses through an MDT approach. Dr Wang is involved with two different MDTs at the Sydney Adventist Hospital and Concord Hospital.

The Multidisciplinary Team

Several specialties meet to discuss your case. The following health professionals may participate in the care of your treatment:

Gastroenterologist:

Specialises in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system, providing expert care for conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract.

Surgeon:

Performs operations to treat or manage diseases, often collaborating with other specialists to ensure comprehensive surgical care for complex conditions.

Radiologist:

Utilises imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to diagnose and monitor diseases, guiding treatment decisions with detailed visual insights.

Pathologist:

Radiation Oncologist:

Fee Schedule

We bill Medicare directly to cover the administration costs associated with holding the meeting. There will be no charge to the patient and no out-of-pocket costs associated with this meeting.
